Our company was established in 1978 as KFB Body and Automotive Industry GmbH and operated under this name until 2001 when we became KFB-Extramobile GmbH.

In 2003 KFB relocated to a new production and logistic centre at our current location in the Nürburgring trade area in the heart of Germany.

Over our 30-year history, KFB-Extramobile has become a leading manufacturer of ambulances and first response vehicles, a position that has been achieved with continued success and innovation. In addition to ambulances and first response vehicles, we also produce specially designed emergency deployment and disaster control vehicles. Alongside our vehicle production we have created an extensive range of medical technologies that facilitate essential functions in emergency vehicles.

Since January 2010 KFB-Extramobile has formed a part of the Four Dimension Johnson Industries Group (FDJI). As experts in specialist vehicles, with a worldwide reach and operating bases in China, Germany and Great Britain, FDJI will continue to bring a range of exciting new possibilities to KFB.

• Four Dimension-Johnson Industry (FDJ) - Our mother company Four Dimension-Johnson designs and manufactures Security Vehicles, Cash Transfer Units, Access Control Doors, Cross Pavement Solutions for all the main cash in transit companies, high street banks and major supermarket chains. We are constantly expanding, and export and diversification are key priorities for KFB-Extramobile. A prime area for our future expansion is armoured vehicles and cash transportation, another area that KFB will approach with its ethos of quality and innovation.
